The best type of content is original content, which is why it is better to choose a topic you already have an interest in, so that you can create your own content. Another important piece of the Adsense puzzle is what to do with your ads. There is some debate over this, and you can test what will work on your site yourself. For starters, you can customize the colors used in the Adsense ads. It is always better to choose ads that blend in with the color scheme of your site, so they dont stand out from your content as much. Also, placement can be important. For example, since people (in most languages) read from left to right, placing ads in a column on the right can increase your response rate, since your readers eyes will be drawn to that side of the page after every line of text.
